The lyrics of this popular singer's songs are in sentimental style, "Kanashiki kuchibue," "Ringo oiwake" and "Yawara" are among her hit songs. She was wildly popular in Hiroshima and Fukuoka, as well as in the Kanto and Kansai regions, largely for her great vocal range and powerful voice. Visit this museum to see her personal memorabilia (including her stage costumes), and videos of her performances.
