i had to write to defend Sousse, It is a large town and like all such places has good and bad parts but the good far outweigh the bad.It has a super beach which goes for miles - try walking to Port el kantaoui - lovely. The Medina is amazing and the museum in the Kasbah rates with Tunis for Roman mosaics.Enjoy the bustle and the bartering -its traditional and their way. Go with a smile and you will be well rewarded !

(Report Problem)sousse is the worst place ive ever been to, and im a travel agent!!!! its a dirty, scruffy place, with the arabs trying to rip you off left right and centre, the tunisian men were looking at my 16 year old in a sexuaal manner, so we all felt unsafe venturing out even in the day

(Report Problem)We were very apprehensive when we were the only trourists to arrive at the hotel but we were made welcome immediately and felt very comfortable. The people are so friendly and could not be more helpful. My granddaughter was treated like an adult and asked what she wanted not via parents. The whole holiday was magical from beginning to end, the souuks, the camel trip into the desert, an unforgetable holiday. We have already booked to return to the same place and same hotel. Fantastic, cant wait.

(Report Problem)the people were so freindly and humble, eager to make us welcome.we fell in love with their kindness. arabs are supposedly hard hagglers but it is their livelihood and you can reasonably get what you want if you stick at it good naturedly. my wife and i were invited into many shops for mint tea just because we tried hard to speak the language one proprietor even gave us bracelets with our names inscribed in arabic, i don't think they're silver but it's the thought. in january the weather wasn't great but our hearts were definitely warmed. ronnie and hazel lambert. p.s. we actually stayed in port el kantoui but spent most of our time in sousse.
