Everything here was so much more efficiant than in other hotels I've stayed at. I stayed here for a few days in July 2004 for an exchange program for middle schoolers. despite the noise and inconvinience of having such a big group come, they were extra sweet and everything was just great

i stayed at the westin miyako kyoto hotel in sept.the 17 04 the staff was very helpfull and the rooms are very clean .i will return again.i give 5stars plus

Great

five stars

i love this hotel. and i love cake. if you go to japan you should stay at this hotel because it is the best hotel in the world. if i could i would live there. it is a great affordable place and i love it. i hope that some day everybody in the world an visit this place.

A disappointing surprise

three stars

This was the last hotel I stayed in during a two-week jaunt across Japan. Being a Westin (which promotes their "heavenly" accomodations, I expected quite a bit (especially after staying in various "heavenly" Westins). The room I was in smelled musty and I spent three nights hovering fabric softener sheets over the lightbulbs in an attempt to make the room smell better. The air outside was so muggy that leaving the windows open to circulate the air was out of the question. The furniture and decor seemed run down.
On the flip side, the service was absolutely wonderful! Folks were helpful and willing to accomodate my every wish. The service is what kept me from being completely disappointed.
