Hyatt Regency Birmingham: Reviews

Only if I have to.

I spent a week there recently for work purposes, the rooms are fantastic and so are the amenities plus the floor to ceiling glass windows give a spectacular view of the city. However, the service and the general attitude of the staff was very poor, they all seemed either miserable or indifferent to the guests. Thankfully I did not pay for it and I wouldnt spend one night there if I had to.

A disappointed stay in an overrated hotel

I recently went there with my girlfriend as one of her presents for her 30th birthday. I booked a "club king room". But the service was awful... Hardly the quality of a 2-star hotel for the price of a top 4-star hotel: a needle on the floor in the room (better not to walk without shoes), a few suspicious stains on the floor… However, the worst was to come. In the evening, we asked for the breakfast to be delivered in our room. The next morning the room service did not show up at the expected time... After 20 minutes I kindly called them to ask what they were doing. They said they would come in another 20 minutes... Once again nobody came... Nobody even called to tell what was going on... After another call and yet another 20 minutes (= 1-hour delay if you are still with me…), it was then high time to check out. I finally mentioned the problem at the reception while checking out. They apologised but said they could not do anything about it. Thank you very much. A so-called luxury hotel which is actually a bit short of luxury as far as the service is concerned. If you intend to go to the Hyatt Regency Birmingham for a special occasion, think twice.

Hyatt Regency Hotel

i think the the Hyatt Regency Hotel is absolutley superb. it has many facilities and can cater for the rich and famous aswell as for ordinary people. i have recommended this hotel to many poeple and it is most definatley the best around.
